I post this cute video of a sweet kitten today because on Friday I saw a video of animal cruelty that I will never be able to get out of my head. We are taking steps to find the person but I feel like I can do more. What kind of person would harm an innocent animal? What fucking kind? I went home that night and cried holding my cat. My cat, as pathetic as it sounds, has been a rock to me. No matter where we move to she has always been so loyal. When I am upset or cry she knows and cuddles with me. If anything ever happened to her I would be devastated. Seeing that video changed something inside of me. I will never feel the same way about the world. The fact that there are people out there who would do this…. I donate $50/month to a local shelter but I honestly feel this is not even close to being enough. It is one thing to get upset about something and it is quite another to do something about it. I want to be that person who does something about it and I will be.
